Hello everyone. I was the shadow knight Ghouldan Boh from RZ. Some may know me, most probably do not. Deciding a server where people who really like to pvp can congregrate, to create the most competitive atmosphere, sounds like a good idea to me. I have noticed on Sinister's site that they said everyone should pick the first pvp server on the list. I think that this is folly. 80% of random people, 9 year old 10 year old that wants pvp is going to pick the the first server they see. That server will have the most unskilled pvpers, (/yawn), and it will probably have the MOST people(lag). I am all for pvping good people, but I would prefer to do it on a server that isn't going to remind me of the lag of Open Beta days. I think instead of the first server ,we should as a community, pick the last pvp server on the central time zone list to go to. This server should be the least crowded of non guilded random people, and will allow pvp guilds a nice play ground to have fun in. Thoughts, comments?
Sup to old friends/enemies, (Sorry if I missed anyone its been a bit.)

sup ghoulie ;D
i believe once all the newbs realize whos server they are on, that will act as a deterrent. With all the big names, i certainly think the population will be extremely high the first couple weeks. However after everything settles down, the population should thin out.

Doesn't really matter, I'd like to have a good amount of lower levels just to have an economy
As it stands, the amount of people from the guilds listed on SINs site amount to less than 500 people
Blizzards servers are SUPPOSED to be able to handle 3000, and people don't stay on 24/7, so the amount of people on the server can easilly be well over 3000.
Open beta was so laggy because they weren't using servers to their highest capacity and preformance lacked for it, by retail I'm 85% certain the lag will be gone - and if it's not, then it will be on every server and not just the one we all choose.
Doesn't matter what we all do, plus I'd rather have a higher population for just plainly economic reasons.
It would suck to have, in 2 months time, just all level 60s and no one below, but that's just my opinion

Whats up Ghouldan, long time no see.
I agree with you, no reason to pick the server which would probably be the most highly populated. All I care about is the competition, not the noob hordes ;p

Not sure how it's going to go yet but I'll have the game early and will be posting the server selection ( assuming servers are up at that time ) and coordinating with SiN if they haven't decided already.

.... i remember your name, as well.
In regards to the server over-crowding, I do not think that is an issue that would be my main concern. I'd be more interested in how Blizzard implements risk/rewards for PvP as well as overall player interest and consistency, which brings back thoughts of having to move from Scorn to Chaos to Corruption since the server populations died, and running around for long perids of time just to be able to find somebody to kill.

Heya guys nice to see some familiar faces.
Both of you at the top made good points, I am no longer that concerned with the issue.
Flaine is not with us at the moment, I have not heard from him.
Some old swarmies are playing, the guild is small at the moment. Mostly me, Zayda, Edagon, Znarled, Itchybottom, Kilor, Delarius, Neuadan, Korynth, Dwidlua, Ragnorok, Tacn, and some new friends made from games like DoaC.
I plan on playing on the horde. I think I will be a hunter just because I hear at level 40+ they absolutely suck, and I like a challenge.
Well I will see you guys in game on release.
I think the current plan is to pick the first server, alphabetically on central time. Picking a server based on which one is on top will not work, because servers are listed by population sizes, which may very well change throughout the night of release.
ciao!
