Shaman Talent Build
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just posting my talent build for retail. Will be going Tauren shaman for the etra hps and the stun. Shamans with stun + earthshock = too nice to pass up on eventhough orcs look cooler. Played shaman up till 58 on CB and 42 on OB. Messed around quite a bit with talent builds on CB when it was FoC. This seems to appeal the most to me as its a lot more applicable both pvp and pve in the high end of the game.

First route to go, would be restoration. 75% to uninteruptable fast heals, 10% reduction to totem costs (which you will be using a lot soloing and pve/questing/groups) accelerates lvling at lower lvls when you have a crappy mana pool. 5% mana reduction to heals makes you a more viable option for groups at lower lvls pvp/pve. You also get 5% increase to crit heals + earthshock lightning, killing two birds with one stone. Once you get Natures Swiftness, you pretty much have an instant Big heal or an instant lightning bolt spell. This is by far the best talent available imo. When it gets rough, pop a potion, NS + big Heal, and you can do both while on the move.
After completing restoration talents, I would move on to the enchancement tree. 5% increase to manapool is worthless. High end game , shamans that focus on int gear will have anything between 7-8k mana im guessing. Talents only give you 500 mana in the case you get that kind of mana pool, thats not even enough for a shock or heal really. 5% increase to shield block works for me a lot better. Anything that helps me channel heals and spells. Ghost wolf is a good toy/utility to chase down people and to run away to recoop. 10% lightning shield increase is one of the other better talents. Lightning shields the most mana effecient spell when dmg output is considered, works great against melee classes, is an instant spell, and works vs nukes/range attacks and even DoT ticks. Pve its great too for soloing. Going full 15% increase is worth it imo as well, up to prffarence really. Everything else in the Enchancement tree is worthless as it is. Grounding totem talents an utter waste. Grounding totem is not functioning the way it should, and dies upon the first spell absorption, making in effect the talents count for shit. Plus along that route, if you were to sacrifice 30+ points, nothing along the way makes it worthwhile.
Elemental Focus would be my final option. Shocks are good as it is, improving them would be more noticable high end. The talents I chose are just self explanitory. Just allow me to dish out dmg faster, interrupt faster, and nuke harder with the occasional chance to do it without the use of mana.
This is just my oppinion of what I found to work best, if ya need any questions answering ask me or daef.

How are shamans at 60 in pvp?
Obviously they are pretty dominant 1v1. But, from my experience, they seem a little out of place in large scale group fights.
